A stack that tells your story

Combine your favourite rings with simple details that feel personal. There are no fixed rules — just a few ideas that make a stack look considered and stay comfortable to wear every day.

01 / Start with a favourite

Choose one ring as the centre of your look and build around it.

Every good stack has an anchor. It might be an engagement ring, a solitaire you bought for yourself or a ring with a story behind it. Put it on first and let its shape and proportions guide what comes next.

A raised centre stone pairs naturally with slim bands that sit close to it. A low, flat ring leaves room for something with more height or texture beside it.

TipIf your favourite has a large or raised setting, check that a band can sit flush against it — some designs need a curved or notched band.

02 / Mix widths and textures

Pair a smooth band with a delicate textured ring for gentle contrast.

Contrast is what makes a stack interesting. Try a wider polished band next to a fine pavé ring, or a twisted or milgrain band between two plain ones. Varying the width keeps the rings from blending into a single block.

Texture can also come from stones: a row of small diamonds catches light differently from a single centre stone, and a plain band in between gives each one room.

Mixing metals is a choice, not a rule. A single colour of gold looks calm and polished; adding a second colour can tie together other jewellery you wear every day.

03 / Find your balance

Leave space between statement pieces and spread rings across your fingers.

Look at both hands together. If one finger carries a tall stack, keep the neighbouring fingers lighter, or move a single band to the other hand. Leaving a finger bare between busy ones helps each stack stand out.

Comfort matters as much as looks. Several rings worn together feel snugger than one ring alone, so a stack can need a slightly larger size than you usually wear. Wear a new combination for a full day before committing to it.

04 / Make it yours

Try different combinations and choose the one you enjoy wearing.

A stack can grow over time. Add a band for a birthday or anniversary, swap rings with the seasons, or keep a minimal set for work and a fuller one for evenings.

Rings worn together rub against each other, so store them separately to avoid scratches, and have the settings of stone-set rings checked from time to time — especially any you wear daily.

TipPhotograph combinations you like so you can recreate them quickly.

Layer thoughtfully. Wear it your way.
